Caroling At The Tolton Manor Senior Building

Funny Story: A couple of months ago when I set up the date for caroling I spoke with the event planner for the building.  I told her we would like to come a do caroling at the building.  She says"How much it cost???? We don't got no money" I said "it's free!"  She said "well what ya'll trying to sell we don't got no money to buy nothing"  I said "no its all free" She laughed and said "people don't do stuff like that around here" and we set up the date.  Note: There are still people in the world that want to bless others without excepting anything in return "It's more blessed to give than receive"  Make a difference in your community!  Why did I choose caroling some might ask.  Well after the death of my grandmother in 2008 the christmas season was very hard for me.  But on that cold Christmas night two girls came to my mothers door singing Christmas carols.  I was overwhelmed and knew God saw our heavy heart.  He used two girls to come and remind us that joy can still be found in the earth.

Kindred The Family Soul Style: Mohawk

By far this is one of the best and coolest hair styles I've done.  I just love it!  Sana totally rocked this Mohawk with confidence and style!  Not only does this Mohawk look HOT on her but she actually looks like the singer in the group "Kindred The Family Soul".  Well enjoy!

Lisz Daniels: Winner Of The Total Hair Makeover!

Congrats to Liza Daniels for winning the Total Hair Makeover.  We finally did her photo shoot and although it was raining outside we captured some cute shoots.  You can tell how happy she was to be the winner of this contest by her amazing smile.  After the shampoo Liza said she felt beautiful already.  Well I guess she got exactly what she wrote on her post "Make Me Over!"  Enjoy

Make A Difference: The Ronald McDonald House

Preparing food for the families at the Ronald McDonald House was so fulfilling to me as well as the group of women who dedicated their time and cooking skills to making this event a success!  Linda, Kiarra, Mahagony, Camille and Lisa for caring enough to share :)  The food was delicious!  My mom made some chicken wings and they were so good.  She even got a bow from one of the children staying at the Ronald McDonald House.  She always gets thumbs up from me.  My sis brought in some beverage, Mahagony not only made but created a taste full and beautiful salad.  This was my first time having wine grapes.  The are so tiny almost like raisins.  Perfect for salads.  Lisa did her thang on the pound cakes although her presence was greatly missed she made sure she helped with one of the sweetest gift.  Camille added to our menu list some wheat rolls and I followed with loaded mash potato's.  After all the families were served we all got an chance to eat.  Following our dinner we received a tour of the building from Lauren (oh she's so sweet).  This facility is gorgeous! Over 35,000 sq feet and very well decorated.  One wall was covered with 3 metal trees with leaves.  On each leaf was a name of a family who had dedicated.  Another wall had a mural with the history of the Ronald McDonald House.  I think my favorite part of the tour was when my mother read one of the journals that a previous family had written.  It was truly encouraging it see the testimony of these families and how thankful they were for the comfort and kindness they received from the Ronald McDonald House.
